Pagi tadi satu kes kematian berlaku di Gombak apabila imam dan pensyarah dari Palestin ditembak mati oleh dua individu yang tak dikenali. Tidak pernah mengadu terima ancaman
Menurut Kamarul, mangsa Dr Fadi M R Albasth Fatma tidak pernah mengadu bahawa dia terima ancaman dari mana-mana pihak. Tambahnya lagi, mungkin kepintaran, kepakaran dimiliki mangsa menyebabkan pihak bermusuh dengannya lalu nekad untuk membunuhnya. Dr Fadi juga dipilih MyCARE sebagai imam untuk mengetuai solat terawih setiap kali tibanya bulan Ramadhan, sejak tahun 2014 lagi.
Allahyarham secara peribadi tidak pernah mengadu kepada saya dia ada terima ancaman daripada mana-mana pihak. Kejadian pagi tadi memang jelas mahu membunuhnya dan sangat mengejutkan kami.
Saya tidak pernah dengar atau diberitahu oleh sesiapa mengenai Allahyarham diancam. Mungkin kebijaksanaannya yang menjadi ancaman kepada pihak berkenaan lalu dia dibunuh.
Allahyarham bukan saja penghafaz al-Quran, malah memiliki ijazah doktor falsafah (PhD) dalam bidang kejuruteraan elektrik daripada Universiti Malaya (UM).
Selain itu, salasilah keluarganya termasuk Taisir Al-Batash adalah Ketua Polis Gaza yang juga seorang daripada 18 orang yang syahid dalam serangan rejim Zionis Israel di Gaza pada 13 Julai 2014.
Selain itu, Kamarul juga berkongsi bahawa mangsa seorang yang lemah lembut serta amat disenangi sesiapa sahaja walaupun baru kali pertama berjumpa. Tutur katanya juga sangat berhemah. Allahyarham seorang yang amat mementingkan keluarga dan lebih senang untuk meluangkan masa bersama tiga orang anak dan isterinya.
Tahu siapa dalang pembunuh?
Dalam pada itu, keluarga imam dari Palestin itu menuduh jenayah tersebut dilakukan agensi perisikan Israel, Mossad. Kenyataan dikeluarkan Hamas, keluarganya berkata;
Kami menuduh Mossad mendalangi pembunuhan ini.
Hamas mengesahkan bahawa saintis penyilidikan khusus dalam isu tenaga berkenaan ialah salah seorang dari anggotanya dan Hamas tidah menuduh Israel membunuh beliau tetapi menyifatkan mangsa sebagai mati syahid.
